DTL have developed the in-house capability by expanding the size of the organisation from 8 staff in 2007 to 20 staff in order to meet the needs of our clients, offer shorter study lead in times and faster report production. To enable DTL to manage the increased work flow we now have more trained technical staff, an increased study director group, and an additional Quality Assurance auditor. In addition to our core safety assessment service, DTL has secured an AWM-sponsored EPSRC award for a PhD studentship from 2009 - 2012. The research project jointly with the Pharmacy school at Keele University is investigating skin decontamination in relation to hospital-acquired infections and improved dermal delivery of anti-bacterial agents. DTL also offers a consultancy service in the area of dermal absorption, including preparation of bridging cases and interpretation of percutaneous absorption studies for submission to various Regulatory authorities. |
